| Ballangen Camping was established by the Wiik family in 1965, and remains a family run concern. Our philosophy is to provide a friendly family-oriented international campsite offering a variety of activities for young and old alike. In 2001, Ballangen Camping won the accolade of Norway’s best campsite by the Norwegian Caravan Club. |

| The campsite has 50 cabins for rent - 22 small and 28 large. The smallest cabins are of simple standard with four bunks, a hot plate and refrigerator, all in one room. These cabins are situated close to the washing facilities. The next size up are similarly appointed but with bunk-beds in a separate room. The remaining 28 cabins are large, modern units for four to six persons. These are fully equipped with shower/WC, kitchen, lounge, TV. The cabins include duvets and pillows but no bed linen. The campsite is divided into several sections, each with space for 20 to 40 campervans, caravans or tents. The total capacity is 150 campervans, caravans and tents. Each plot is individually marked. The toilet/washing facilities are conveniently positioned for easy access by guests, and are also designed for handicapped people. The area is children-friendly and conveniently situated by the sea. We have a super beach area with water sports and beach volleyball. This year sees the opening of a new guest marina for boating enthusiasts. Adjacent to the reception is a well-stocked supermarket and souvenir shop. Next to the campsite is an excellent driving range and golf training facility. From the campsite, and past the golf course, a footpath and cycle track leads to Ballangen. 40 km north of Ballangen is Narvik offering a broad range of activities and attractions. 20 km south of Ballangen is beautiful Efjord with fantastic fjord scenery and excellent fishing opportunities. There is also Stetind, which was chosen as Norway’s national mountain in 2003. |
